Crawl space insulation in Lake Havasu City AZ - floors that feel right year-round
Cold floors or a high power bill? We insulate the right side of your crawl space so the rooms above stay comfortable.

Should I insulate under my floor or close up my crawl space?
Crawl space insulation in Lake Havasu City, AZ goes in one of two places. It goes under the floor above the crawl space, tight against it, or as rigid foam board on the crawl space walls, and either way it slows heat moving between your house and the space below.
Most calls start with cold floors or a power bill that keeps climbing, and the right fix depends on what's down there. The price moves with the size of the crawl space, the method we pick and whether old insulation has to come out first, which is our insulation removal work. The schedule turns on how easy the space is to get into and whether any repairs should come first. I look at it in person, and the estimate gives you the figure for your house.
Why homeowners pick us for crawl space insulation
I learned this trade under a boss who checked every space I worked in, and I still run jobs that way. The prep you can't see gets done before anything new goes in.
The owner on every estimate
I do the estimate myself and work beside our installers, so the person who looked at your crawl space is there doing the work.
In business since 2023
I started this business in 2023 so I could keep working the careful way I was taught, one house at a time.
Fully licensed and insured
That covers the work under your house from the first look at the crawl space to the final cleanup.
Problems fixed before insulation
If a leak or another trade's problem needs fixing, I'll tell you before new insulation buries it.
Satisfaction guaranteed
That's our promise on the work, and I'd rather explain every step than leave you wondering what went in under the floor.
Ways we insulate a crawl space
We first decide whether to insulate the floor above or close up the crawl space. Ducts or gas equipment down there change that answer, so we settle it before any vents get touched.
What happens when you call about your crawl space?
We plan each crawl space job around what's down there and how your house uses it, so nothing gets closed up or covered before we know it should be.

How do I choose between insulating the floor or the crawl space walls?
It usually comes down to whether your ducts or heating and cooling equipment sit in the crawl space. National guidance says a crawl space that doesn't need to be part of the house, as in dry climates, can stay outside the insulated part of the home, with the floor sealed and insulated from below. Crawl spaces with ducts in them have the strongest case for being closed and treated as part of the house, because that's where the gain is clearest.
Is it safe to just seal my crawl space vents?
No. Sealing only the vents can raise the moisture in a crawl space, and if fuel-burning equipment that vents naturally sits down there, it can create a deadly situation. Closing a crawl space well means planning for everything else inside it, not just the vents.
How much does crawl space insulation cost in Lake Havasu City?
Insulating a crawl space across the US usually costs about $3 to $6 per square foot. That's the going rate for the work across the country, not our price. Where your job falls depends on what I find underneath, and the estimate gives you the number for your house.
Does foam insulation in a crawl space need a cover over it?
Usually yes. Some foam insulation can give off toxic or flammable gases when it's heated, so most codes call for a barrier such as gypsum board over it. Some products are designed and tested to cut that risk, so ask us whether the foam we plan to use meets local code.
What is the best way to keep a crawl space dry after insulating it?
Give it a ground cover and a way to dry out. National guidance says every crawl space needs a cover that stops ground moisture from rising into it, and every crawl space needs a way to dry. One of the most effective ways to dry a closed crawl space brings in a small amount of conditioned air from your heating and cooling system.
Do I need to remove old crawl space insulation before adding new?
If the old insulation is wet, moldy or full of droppings, yes. New insulation laid over it keeps the problem under your floor. Dry, intact insulation can sometimes stay, and I'll show you what I find before we decide.
Crawl space insulation rules in Lake Havasu City
Lake Havasu City issues building permits for work under its building safety codes and zoning, and the application has to list the contractor and their license numbers. The city uses the International Residential Code, a model code for houses, as part of its own code, with any changes the city makes, so that's the standard your crawl space work is held to. We check each job with the Lake Havasu City Building Division, and when a permit is needed we file it with our license and business license numbers on the application. Arizona lets someone without a contractor license do only casual or minor work under $1,000 in total, labor and materials included. That exemption ends when the job needs a city permit or is part of a bigger project, so a permitted crawl space job calls for a licensed contractor.
We're based in Lake Havasu City and also work in the cities around it. On jobs around Lake Havasu City, we see every kind of crawl space, from empty ones to ones with ducts running through them, plus plenty of old insulation that has sagged or fallen down. That's why I check each one before suggesting a method.
